Multnomah Falls & Bonneville Dam Fish Hatchery

A few weeks ago, on Pete's day off, we went on a road trip and visited Multnomah Falls and the Bonneville Dam Fish Hatchery. It was a beautiful sunny warm day (60's). We even needed sun glasses. Cooper loved the fish hatchery the best. He loved seeing "Herman the Sturgeon" who really is the hugest fish I have ever seen up close. Cooper walked up the the fish window and said "hi fish, my name is Cooper, how are you?" I cracked up laughing and so did the people gathered around the observation area. He is the cutest kid I know!
Another highlight was feeding the fish with Dad's help. Cooper LOVES animals so the giant stuffed black bear was, of course, a BIG hit. Little Delaney just went along for the ride! What a good baby.

And we are off....

Proof that we had a long day!

Free Earth Day Coloring Pages

I found this new web site called Triplets Mommy & Friends @  http://tripletsmommy.com/.  Although, I don't have triplets the site is great. It offers free samples and coupons. I found FREE Earth Day Coloring Pages. Now I am not a huge "Greenie", but Cooper needs to be constantly given activities to entertain him and I like to find thing he can learn from at the same time. These pages are perfect for learning and a big plus... they are free!

I am attaching the link for you to enjoy http://tripletsmommy.com/free-earth-day-coloring-pages.

Delaney's Room

I realized the other day that I did not have any picture of Delaney's room and it is so Cute... Delaney's room was the only room that didn't have carpet when we moved in and had original wood floors that were in bad shape. The original thought (after Pete had just painted the whole house, 5 rooms plus a bathroom & Kitchen) was to just clean the floors. After a few weeks I was able to talk Pete into painting the floors white and adding a pink checkered pattern. Of course I had to pick the most tricky patter and since he is such a perfectionist it turned out GREAT! Pink and white are the theme. The bedding is from Pottery Barn and are roses (Totally Girl). The crib is a convertible bed that changes from crib to toddler bed. I just LOVE this room and am totally thrilled to be able to buy GIRL things.

Check out this lamp... this is from my room when I was about 10 years old. I have had it ever since. The flowers arrangement was made by my good friend Temple from my baby shower. I still need to change out the picture in the baby album and have since added Laney's picture to the frame (it only took me 4 months).

The two small blankets were lovingly made by Janice.

Pete made the quilt rack that is behind the changing table.

I love the crib set and probably went a bit over board, but I couldn't help my self... It had to be perfect! I am a bit crazy that way some times. The brown chest is hand painted and also from my childhood. It is a hope chest, but rustic and old.

Check out the floor. it is AMAZING... Pete also reupholstered the Ottoman that I bough with the rocking chair. It is so cute.

PICTURE PERFECT!

Most of you know my sister is a professional photographer... well a few weeks ago she had another "Delaney" photo session. Here are some of the best pictures. I am a bit bias, but I think they turned out AMAZING! She is a real beauty. These are truly pictures to treasure. Thanks Aunt Corn (as Cooper calls her).

She is a chubby baby, but note that the Dr., on 4 month appointment, said she was not "fat" just healthy. I love chubby babies!

Daddy's Girl!

It is TRUE.... Delaney is officially Daddy's Girl. She loves looking at him, him holding her, etc. She lights up when she hears his voice and coos at him. She does some of the same things with me, but it is different with him. He teases me that I am going to be upset when she is older and wants him instead of me. Truth be told I will be upset, I was jealous when Cooper was a baby and he preferred his Dad. Now because I am with them more they want me when they are upset, but love to spend time with Dad when he is around. Honestly, I want my babies to want to be around their Daddy, he is a great Father and has lots to teach them. We are so lucky.

Easter

The Sunday before Easter, since Conference fell on Easter, we dressed up for Church in our new outfits. Cooper is sporting a new suit, Delaney her first Easter outfit and Daddy has a new tie. We were in coordinating colors and pink was our color this year. I love PINK!

He is saying "cheese" here, hence the closed eyes...

What a "little Man"

I couldn't get Cooper, Dad and Laney to look at the camera at the same time...

EASTER DAY....
For Easter weekend this year we had a guest, Kendall, our niece stay with us. She is exactly a year older than cooper so they had a blast celebrating! Cooper really doesn't like candy (I know a bit weird, but true none-the-less), but with Kendall around to show him the ropes he ate his fair share. I think all in all Cooper got 4 baskets this year, the first from our good family friend Janice who is like another Grandma to Cooper and Delaney, the second from the Easter Bunny of course, followed by the yummy basket from Nana & Papa filled with everything including fun bouncing balls, then Auntie Kelly showed up with the last basket filled with more yummies and a kite. Needless to say this was a GREAT Easter and the first one Cooper really understood what was happening with the Easter Bunny. Don't worry Delaney got a basket from everyone as well.

The spirit was also present, in our home, this holiday even though the true meaning of the holiday, Christ's death and Resurrection, was a little lost on our babies this year. Next year Cooper will be almost 4 and should be able to understand a bit better.

I feel this is a good time to add that I know my Savior lives and died so I can have an Eternal Family. This knowledge is my most precious possion. I love my family so much and am so comforted that I will be able to live with them even past death because of my Elder Brother's sacrifice. They love us so much and want us to be happy. I love my Father-in-Heaven and my Brother Jesus Christ!

Kendall's basket is the first on the left, followed by Cooper's, then Dad's basket (of Course), then Delaney's.

Striking a pose with the baskets... Kendall was up sometime before 6 am and found her basket... she was already eating candy and playing with her toys before Pete got home from work at 6:30am. Poor Daddy... he staid up with us for a bit before going to bed for a few hours then off to Nana & Papa's house for Easter dinner then to work again that night. Boy, it was a long day for him... We love him for taking such good care of us!
This is a combination of a couple of baskets after they were ransacked and picked through by Cooper and his Cousins Payton, Kendall and Macey.

Kendall, Uncle Nathan and Jacob (I can't believe he is almost 15)

Aunt Courntey cutting the yummy cake Aunt Kelly made.
Nana loves holding the babies and they love being held by her. She is holding the two youngest grand babies Delaney 4 months and Macey 20 months.
