TRAIN TABLE.... (Birthday gift)

We decided to get a train table for Cooper's birthday. Nana and Papa went in on it with us. Cooper has had Thomas the Train and tracks for some time, but we were using our coffee table which allowed the track to get pushed off easily. Then he would get really upset and push what ever had not fallen off-off. Pete took him to Toys R Us to get the table yesterday (Friday) and a few extra trains. When they got home it was nap time so we put the table together while he was asleep. He really didn't fall asleep for about an hour after we put him down so when we were done assembling the table and putting the track together he was still asleep. I was so excited for him to see the table that I convinced Pete to wake him up. It was like Christmas morning... I was waiting for him with the camera. He was so excited. He ended up playing non stop for the next 5+ hours. His attention span is not normally that long so I think we have a hit. First thing the next morning he was asking about "Tom" and ran right out of his room to play.

Cooper turned the big #2 on May 16th. We can't believe how time flies by. He is so big and smart. We are amazed by him every day. We celebrated his birthday today which is the weekend after his official day as Pete had to work on his birthday. We went to my sister's house for the celebrations. It was a beautiful day, sunny and warm. The kids played outside in the water for most of the afternoon. Cooper is naturally attracted to any type of water, so when he saw the sprinklers were on it was over. He went right in cloths, shoes and all. He had a blast. We had a great dinner of an assorted Mexican menu. Pete made a great fruit salad that was demolished quickly. After dinner Cooper opened his present from his Antie Cor-cor and Uncle Jason. Of course he got a GREAT Thomas the Train set "Birthday" edition. He loved it... so did Kendall. They had a bit of a hard time sharing (age 2 & 3). Dad, Mom, Nana & Papa got him a train table, tracks and features which he got yesterday. Then it was time for the cake. We got him an ice cream cake and cup cakes. Payton and Kendall ate the frosting only on 5 of the 6 cupcakes. Cooper did the same with his... then he dove into the ice cream cake which he liked better. It was a great day!

Cooper Loves Water

This happened some time ago, but I just thought about it when I read a friends blog... Pete and I had just given Cooper a bath and got him ready for the day. We were still in his room cleaning up when Pete shouted to come see this... We often find Cooper doing cute or funny things and have to share with the other parent. I hadn't expected to find Cooper, in the bath, fully clothed playing in the water. Usually my routine is to unplug the drain as I get him out, but with Pete helping this day my routine was off. Needless to say he was having a great time and we couldn't keep from laughing.

I wish I could tell you that I have learned from this incident, but the truth is that it has happened at least one other time since, but more like two times.

Check out the slippers and everything...

We bought the Thomas the Train set at Christmas time, but he really didn't get into it until lately. Now he is obsessed! He eats with his trains, sleeps with his trains and even watches t.v. with his trains. Dad just bought a battery powered Thomas so now it runs constantly. Every time we try to turn it off he "freaks" out! In one week we have already gone through 2 batteries. This looks to be an expensive toy... have you seen the price of the tracks. We are going to need to save for this one. What were we thinking?

Just home from Church w/ my Dad!

Checking out my new duds

So cute

I love this outfit!

Even boys have Easter outfits. So I couldn't get the cute dress, but he looks like a little man and so stink'in cute. We had a great day!
