Oregon Zoo 2009

Animals have officially over taken trains as Coopers favorite thing to play with. We took him to the Oregon Zoo this summer and he loved it! We ended up buying year passes and have taken him several times since. He loved touching the goats and sheep, but the train ride was by far the biggest hit of the day.

Mom leave me alone I am waiting for the train to start.

We were really close to the Lions... it was pretty cool.

Petting the goats.

Cooper looking at the pond at the end of the creek.

On our way to see the bears...

More Summer Fun...

Also over the summer we visited many local parks. Cooper has so much energy that we need him to get exercise. We mostly went as a family, but I also took him myself when Pete had to work. Cooper and I also met friend with kids around Coopers age and even ate lunch a time or two. Here is just one sampling of the fun he had.

Oregon Children's Museum

Over the summer we had great fun visiting local attractions for kids. In Oregon there is a children's museum that is interactive. Cooper had a blast. He built things, played with trains, played in a "sand box" that was made of rubber pieces, built a stick tower, rode a toy horse, but his favorite was, of course, playing with the water. We had to go to the water section 2x and he cried when we left. I think he is part fish.

I think Dad was having more fun with the sticks than Cooper!

Of course every good tower needs to be knocked down...

I am so thankful that Cooper has a Dad that will play with his son.

It's a GIRL!

We found out on that we are having a GIRL! What a miricle. It was only a few years ago that we did not even think we were going to have any children let alone a boy and a girl. I am still not quite sure why Heavenly Father continues to bless me with such miricles, but he does and I am so thankful. Only a few months to go...
